"It's Not the Weather..."

An awful lot of us woke up this morning only to find ourselves a bit later in some unfortunate traffic situations. Sure, we all knew a major storm was upon us, and you don't have to be a top vehicle accident lawyer to know that the best way to avoid getting yourself into a nasty spot is to give yourself plenty of time so you don't feel pressured to take the wrong kind of chance.

Still, many of us failed to set our alarms a bit earlier and found ourselves in extra-slow, bumper-to-bumper traffic. Worse, when we finally hit a bit of clear sailing, too many of us tried to make up for the lost time by, to use a technical term of art, driving like complete idiots. That's the kind of behavior tha makes a lot of work for area hospitals and, of course, personal injury attorneys in Los Angeles.

It's tempting to blame the rain when we find ourselves in an unpleasant traffic situation, but it's wrong. As one plainspoken CHP officer told Patch writer Penny Arévalo yesterday, "It's not the weather that's caused the crashes: it's the drivers."

In other words, yes, we know that we L.A. drivers aren't used to driving in seriously wet weather. Yes, we know it's frustrating to have to deal with lots of other people who are even worse in driving in the rain than you are. However, really and truly, the only real way to avoid finding yourself in a stupid situation is, well, not to be stupid!

Of course, if you find yourself on the receiving end of another driver's stupidity and aren't being properly compensated, the Law Offices of Burg and Brock remain the place for the kind of outstanding attorney Los Angeles plaintiffs can trust. If you're in need of ours services, feel free to contact us any time at 888-509-2998.

While Drug Companies Seek Profits at All Costs, Who is Looking out for You?

Paxil is a popular antidepressant that's been on the market since 1992. That's why it is very concerning to learn that the drug, officially known as paroxetine, has been found to have a weak estrogenic effect that could promote the development and growth of breast tumors in women, according to a study reported on in The Los Angeles Times. Since approximately a quarter of women being treated for breast cancer suffer from depression, the effects could be particularly severe.

The estrogenic effects of paroxetine "has implications for patients with estrogen-sensitive breast cancer who are on other medications," says Shihuan Chen, professor and chairman of City of Hope's department of cancer biology and lead author of the study. While news like this is always disturbing, it also serves as a firm reminder of the importance of those whose job it is to defend the general public from companies that all-too-often act irresponsibly in the search for quick profits.

In short, it is stories like this that remind of the importance of the top attorney in Los Angeles, Cameron Y. Brock, and his team at the Law Offices of Burg & Brock, Inc. In the Name of Love

This has been a week that a lot of people, including some vehicle accident lawyers, will no doubt prefer to forget. Today's news in the horrific car crash in Diamond Bar last weekend was that the alleged drunk driver responsible for the incident, a young woman, has been charged with six counts of murder.

Meanwhile, an incident that will make any experienced motorcycle accident lawyer shake his or head with tragic familiarity has left a motorcyclist in grave condition. Apparently, a hit-and-run driver fled the scene of the Echo Park collision on Sunset Boulevard, and both vehicles were said to have been speeding. Not far away, people are still morning the mother who died next to her child in a Hollywood crosswalk.

All we can do is ask everyone, on this day when we celebrate love, if everyone can please take a moment to drive just a little bit more carefully, never text while driving, and, for goodness, remember that -- as the ads say "tipsy driving is drunk driving." It's the best possible Valentine's Day present we can give the special people in our lives.

Tragically, of course, not everyone is going to listen to our pleas. If you do find yourself in need of a personal injury law firm today, please call 888-509-2998. We're here to help.

Cameron Yadidi Brock Doesn't Need a Crazy Super Bowl Ad to Prove He's a Top Attorney

Last Sunday's big game was a big dud for fans of grid-iron excitement, as the Denver Broncos were trounced in an epic way by the utterly dominant Seattle Seahawks. As with many past Super Bowls, though, the real entertainment for most people came from the famously loopy advertisements in between plays.

Bob Dylan's Chrysler ad had many people talking, as did Dannon's ad featuring a reunion of Full House stars John Stamos, Dave Coulier and Bob Saget. However, for Savannah, Georgia residents, the ad that really had people tuned in was a local one, produced by lawyer Jamie Casino.

Casino's ad featured him as a sort-of vigilante action hero, avenging his brother's death with a background of fiery destruction, electric guitar licks and a giant    hammer. Though the ad garnered attention, we must say - it doesn't say much about Mr. Casino's skills as an attorney as it does suggest that he's a tough-as-nails, 80s action hero parody.

Ads like that of Mr. Casino are good entertainment, but for a personal injury attorneys in Los Angeles that values impeccable results over glitz and image, the Law Offices of Burg & Brock, Inc. is always the ideal option. Not only is Mr. Brock a seasoned legal expert in personal injury, but he is always a revered product liability, wrongful death and vehicle accident lawyer.

Since the start of his firm, the attorney Los Angeles residents trust has achieved an incredible 98% success rate, while earning over $100 million in awards and settlements for his clients - and he's done it all without resorting to exploitative gimmicks. For an attorney team that values results over image, contact The Law Offices of Burg & Brock Inc.
