Still, for all our focus on the need to protect animals from mistreatment and our love of our pets, we forget that there are times when pets can actually mistreat humans. There's No (Complete) Protection

An deadly incident that occurred earlier this month was a grim reminder of an absolute fact: a serious personal injury accident can happen anytime and just about anywhere when people act recklessly. In this case, the alleged thief of a Tesla Model S electric car crashed his car and was killed on La Brea near Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood. Seven unfortunate bystanders were also injured.

As a completely top-of-the-line auto, we have no doubt that a Model S is superbly designed when it comes to safety. At the exact same time, the finest swimming pool that's even been made is still subject to swimming pool accidents when people behave recklessly, and the best boat ever made can still sink if it meets up with the wrong iceberg. As events constantly remind us, there is no such thing as complete safety.
