This week, the Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a recall of Trek bicycles with quick release levers on the front wheels on models from the years 2000 through 2015. There have been three reported injuries as a result of a malfunction causing the front wheel to stop or come off the bike completely. One injury resulted in a rider becoming a quadriplegic.
